question for anyone who has been to a trail teams event before... how important is it to have a cb radio? Ive got a couple of those little short range radios but Im curious if I should pick up a cb before I head down there. also is this a decent radio or will it be useless? Buy the Midland 40-Channel Handheld CB Radio and other Radios & scanners at circuitcity.com
I bought a fixed cb over the weekend. If you have not bought one yet, you can have my handheld one and the charger for free. It's only a year old.
...let me know.
I just installed my CB Thanks to this forum it was a piece of cake. I even made my own mounting bracket for the antenna (couldnīt wait for one ordered on line). Then I went to Tractor Supply and got a 30,000 lbs tow strap (yeap thatīs me, the hitch may rip off, but my strap will not give in). Iīm ready to roll.
Well I registered and received my confirmation so I guess you can count me in. And hopefully I should have my new tires mounted and ready for some action!!!! Been working sooo much I haven't been on the forums alot lately and almost missed this event. Looking forward to seeing all the FJC's and their owners!!!

BTW, Dragon, I wouldn't mind having that handheld cb if it is still available this weekend.
The campground alcohol ban is really intended to keep the insurance wolves at bay. Since there is vehicle traffic directly adjacent to the campground, they have to post that sign.
Just be responsible and you'll be fine.
