Headed on US 90 for Vacation

The wife and I are headed out west for vacation. We are leaving Taxachusetts on Saturdday. Basically we'll be following US 90 at least as far as South Dakota. Hopefully we'll have a few days in South Dakota. Any Wheelin goin on in SD? Eventually we plan on making it as far as Yellowstone and possibly on to Glacier. I'll have a laptop with me so I'll keep an eye on the forum. So keep me in mind if there's any planned events in these areas. I hope to be in SD by Tuesday.

Enjoy South Dakota. Make sure you do the Badlands Loop, Crazy Horse, and of course Mt. Rushmore. Devils Tower is not far from Sturgis (about 2 hours). Lots to do out there. Also you have to see Deadwood even if you are not a gambler. Enjoy!

The wife and I are heading out this sunday on 90. Were going to the Black Hills Cruiser Classic in Deadwood. The rally starts on 15th and runs thru the 19th. This will be our third trip to the rally. This is a TLCA event so it is well organized rally.
Have a safe trip

We've been through Sturgis and MT Rushmore before. (25th anniversary, this year is our 30th) Badlands and Deadwood are definately on the radar. Cruiser classic sounds like a winner. I'll try to make at least one day of it. Thanks for the heads up.

Re: Headed on US 90 for Vacation:Anyone familiar with Aberdeen SD?

WEll we made it to just outside of Cleveland. Which for me was a good start. We really aren't on any shcedule so taking my time is ok. Although I do hope to make eastern Wisconsin buy late today. I do have a bit of a job interview in Aberdeen, SD on Tuesday. After that it's completely wide open.

Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway (Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway) is a great drive north-west of Rapid City.

If you make it over near Yellowstone do yourself a favor and drive through Grand Tetons also. I've been to Yellowstone about 4 times and Grand Teton only once, wish it was the other way around. Glacier's fantastic and it's one of my favorite parks. Have a fun trip!
