Re: Clearancing Body Mounts

Just what I'm looking to have done to mine - does anyone know of a shop in Denver that has done this?

Re: Clearancing Body Mounts

just found the post rockrawler.
Thanks again for the chop it did wonders. for every ones info I am running a 285/75/16 BFG AT on a 16x8 with a 4.5" back spacing (Ivan Stewart wheels off of the tundra) It only rubbed on the drivers side with normal driving, both sides rubbed when off roading. I am glad I got the chop done and think it should be done even with a lift just for the sake of it, looks so much better, and not a big ol plat to hold dirt and mud on any more. I left that all at rockrawlers
thanks again.

Re: Clearancing Body Mounts

I got my Offroad mag the other day with Johns cover story on it. It was put together realy nice. I am going to have to go out and find yours.

That's good to know... I may scale back my tire size to something a bit more reasonable to avoid the "cut".

Re: Clearancing Body Mounts

Its worth it and doesnt take long if you go to a 4x4 shop thats used to mods. When i had my tires and wheels installed it didnt really take them that long. I dont have a welder yet so i had them do it. They did a really nice and clean job. Nobody has noticed its not factory except for a little cutting on the inside of the mudflap. They even cut it so they could bring a piece of it up and screwed it for support.
