Re: Windshield Wipers? Useless?

Wipers work great after replacing the blades with something good. I'll be the one to say that I stay away from Rain-X. Used it on a truck I had and will never use it again.

Re: Windshield Wipers? Useless?

only had minor prob with my wipers not long ago, they started to leave black streaks across my windshield, then after awhile it was clear again, never had any probs afterwards...

I know about rain...... They seem decent to me.
Thought they worked real well & we get some real down pours in North Texas! Read an article somewhere of how the 3 wiper system was superior of any SUV that has a 2 wiper system. Sorry you were disappointed in your wipers.

Re: Windshield Wipers? Useless?

They're fine in rain. When it cools down and snows and ices up...that's a different story. They kind of cup...where only the front and back of each blade is touching, so everything in betweens stays wet/snowy. I'll be replacing mine this fall with something more substantial! Any suggestions?

Re: Windshield Wipers? Useless?

Never had a problem with mine in the rain. I did have the freakiest thing happen in an ice storm once though. I was on the highway in the mountains and it starts dumping a real icy/snow mix, as I'm driving the right wiper blade starts coming off the windshield, about an inch from the end this 1/2" diameter ice column starts forming and by the time I pull over 30 minutes later the "column" has increased in height and forced the end of the wiper blade 1-1/2" off the windshield. This was with the wipers on continuously from when the moisture started until I pulled over.

Re: Windshield Wipers? Useless?

I had the same issue, it's the new window. When I went through my first Texas rain storm, I couldn't see crap! I cleaned the window and put rain-x on and now it's just fine!

It's amazing what a little coating on the windshield will do for ya.
