Hey everyone, last night after dropping Montana off at Scouts, I was climbing a hill not far from my house when the FJ did something funny. I started to climb this sandstone rock surrounded by a lot of dirt when the atrac freaked out. I was in L4 - atrac on like normal, started to climb, then I started to get a lot of wheel spin. The atrac kicked on and was working but the rear tires were on too much loose dirt. I backed up and tried again. This time the atrac started going crazy. It was making way to much noise. So I backed down, called it driver error and started home. I couldn't get the FJ in H2, I could only get it in either H4 or L4. Then as I started to drive there was almost a rubbing sound under the rig. I pulled over, inspected the undercarriage and could find nothing obvious. I tried driveing in reverse and although not as bad you can still her this noise. I did not try to risk it home so I called a tow truck. Every wheel rotation you hear this noise and it feels like a slight bind when you're driving straight. If you turn you really hear and feel it. It's all in the rear and mainly on the drivers side. When Montana got home from Scouts he was not happy. Anyone have any ideas? The dealership opens here in a while and I'll be on the phone. Thanks everyone!

Sounds like you might have a stone or some type debris inside a wheel next to the brake rotor or in your brake caliper. If not it could be a CV Joint.

I stuck my hand through the rims and felt all around the brakes best I could. I felt no obstuctions but I'm hoping that's what it is. The sun had just went down or I would have taken the rear wheels off. I'm hopin you're right!
