man, just noticed that the vent front of the hood is blocked and is just there for looks.. this REALLY got me grumpy for a good several minutes.. can't believe they did that. I examined underneath the hood, and even if I were to take the plastic off, there are air passage obstructions.. this is pretty stoopid..

Doesn't he actually require that due to the extra heat that his super-charger produces? Strapping one on for absolutely no reason is what people in Civics and cheap Mustangs do, the FJ is better than that. Might as well throw on a few bullet decals to add some horse power
you could always mod your hood and make it look how ever you wanted skys the limit there are all kinds of scoops on the market
just remember measure thrice cut once!

Yeah, I'm like you. I would rather have something functional than to have something for cosmetic reasons only.
I wonder how difficult it would be to incorporate the fake vent into a cold air intake sytem and actually make it work?
