I just installed my intake and as soon as I start the fj, I'd say within 2 seconds it shuts off. I tried unhooking the negative to the battery and hooking back up, but nothing changes. Anyone have a clue what's going on.
THE FJ shuts off or the dash lites up like a christmas tree?
Make sure the Mass Air Flow sensor harness is plugged in,
Check the two vacuum lines are connected...
one larger hose Front, thin line on rear side of intake tube.
Please clarify what you did, and what you're seeing.
So you installed a Cold Air Intake (CAI), right? (not a "cia")
You title mentions "abs turns off", but your message says "as soon as I start the fj ... it shuts off".
So the engine immediately shuts OFF, or the ABS warning light turns ON, or both, or neither?
Obviously, the first step is to re-check everything you touched. All electrical connectors properly mated, all vacuum lines connected, no other wiring pinched or cut during the airbox install, no rag or other obstruction left in the intake ducting, etc.
