Re: Where do you mount your hi-lift?

I try not to mount my hi-lift...wife gets jealous.

I use the fourtreks mounts on my arb bumper like Corey and am happy with it. Low COG, easy to get and can wrap my winch line around it instead of storing it when its being used.

Now that is funny.
I once had a dog try to mount my ARB
That was from early 2007.

Re: Where do you mount your hi-lift?

Here are a few pics of the ebay ones. I added a Lock nut on there to slow down the bad guys.

I think that the best part about the ebay ones is that the stud is stainless steal so no rust.

Stud? What stud? Mine didn't come with a stud. I just got the aluminum clamps and the steel screws that draw the two halves together.

Anyone else get the stainless steel stud with theirs?

Re: Where do you mount your hi-lift?

Pictures of e-Bay clamps.

VERY IMPORTANT LESSON LEARNED (the hard way) ...Hi-Lift jacks mounted on an FJ with a 3" lift probably WON'T FIT IN YOUR GARAGE!!!

...I put a big ol' dent in the wooden beam over my garage door. Gah! I hate doing stupid things like that! Very lucky I didn't bust the clamps or rip my roof rack off! I guess this is one of those things (like the canoe) you have to attach AFTER leaving the garage.

Re: Where do you mount your hi-lift?

I think the one that MIGZ got were the $50 clamps that were on ebay that came with the studs, not the $10 ones.
