Picked up a couple. A little hesitant as I haven't seen any pictures of them actually mounted to a OEM rack, but for the price it's worth the gamble (unless of course the thing fails and comes crashing down) I figure with the right cable lock, you should be able to mitigate against utter catastrophe.
I'll post pictures when I get mine up there.

How are these mounts from ebay playing out???
I am getting ready to pull the trigger if you guys think they will hold the hi-lift well.

Anyone have any pics of the hi lift jack on the ebay clamps yet???
I promise to get around to it this weekend! I'm thinking that I'll line the inside of the clamp face (the part that connects with the roof rack tubing) with electrical tape in order to increase grip and prevent scratching. I like the idea to use pieces of bicycle tire tube, but I think it would be a pain to keep track of if you need to move the clamps.
I am having a couple friends help me make them with their cnc plasma cutter. Out of 3/4" aluminum 6061. You could do to the same with some mild steel and a die grinder.
