Load resistor, Electronic Flasher ???

Hi, need a little help again. I replace all my regular stock light bulbs with LED bulbs. What happens now is signal light flasher rapidly. I heard from the seller I can get a Load resistor or Electronic flasher, and it will solve that problem. I went to AutoZone today, and they do have that. First of all they didn't know which one that will fit the 08 FJ; it is not in there system. I also bump into another problem; I can't seem to find it on my Fuse box. Has anyone done this before. If you have; can you show me a diagram or a picture where the plug is. It actually looks like a plug. Also which right load resistor I need to get. Thanks,
Jimmy

Re: Load resistor, Eletronic Flasher ???

If you just want to go with the resistor you need to just add a resistor in line with the LED that is approximately the same resistance as the stock bulb. In the stock set up the bulb is a part of the flasher circuit, if you increase the resistance you will slow the flashing and if you decrease the resistance (ie. change to LED) you will increase the flashing speed.

Re: Load resistor, Eletronic Flasher ???

Thanks for your info, but Resistor in line? I'm not very good with parts. Is resistor in line something I can pick up at Auto store. Also if it is easy to install. Any picture diagram would help thanks,

Re: Load resistor, Eletronic Flasher ???

200 ohm 1/2 watt @ 10% resistor will slow it down quite a bit.
