Dumb question- # of Quarts of oil?

Hey guys, I'm halfway through changing my oil and I need to know how many quarts of oil I need to refill. I thought it was around five, but I don't know. I don't want to overfill. Thanks!

Sorry Mike, that statement made me laugh.

Toledo, if you go with aftermarket filter such as a Mobil1 filter, you may need a bit more oil.

Our dealership was nice enough to try to fit 7 in ours.

Re: Dumb question- # of Quarts of oil?

With the small filter, mine sits at the top of FULL with just 5 qts. I don't know why. I have checked it many times.

Re: Dumb question- # of Quarts of oil?

Same here, with the mobil 1 oil and a toyota filter, it takes 6 quarts to the halfway mark.
