How much to re-gear

Checking my options on re-gearing.I can buy a complete 3rd for the front for aprox $1200 open or $1800 with arb and just re-gear the rear electric locker.
Option 2 , Re-gear front and rear with my carrier's.I have a manuel trans open for the front without bearing's etc so a new carrier will not be needed just a master kit. What should I expect to pay to have new gears set up and installed versus buying a complete 3rd for the front and dropping it in myself and re gearing the rear at a local shop.Im leaning towards the comlete 3rd for the front and paying to have the rears installed.Any suggestions ?

Re: How much to re-gear

Thanks. If that includes bearing etc for the front carrier that's not too bad.

Re: How much to re-gear

My total to do my AT with the gears from JT's in 4.56's will be right around $1100 parts and labor. I'm going with their "new" gear for the front which is physically wider such that I don't have to get a new front carrier in order to re-gear the front.

Parts will be under $600 and the labor will be between $500-550 depending on how the front goes...

Re: How much to re-gear

Mark call the guys at Rear End Specialties in Santa Clara. They recently did my F250 front and rear, parts + labor + tax was $1400. They did it in about 4 hours. If you don't mind driving a little you can have Jim at Inchworm do them for you. He is probably in the same price range as JT's.

I'm running 33's (255/85/16). One of the main reasons I'm doing this is to remove the "questionable" early build rear gears I'm running now. Before I take on a month long trip, I wanted to eliminate one potential cause for having a bad experience...
