Lightbulb Doubling when Winching

I recently put an ARB Bullbar with a T-max 10,000 lb wench on my FJ and after driving through a stream and nearly getting stuck in soft clay and water realized there are no really convenient doubling points on the bumper. The frame attachment points are hard to get to if you are buried and I didn't want to bolt something on that might void the warranty and deform the bumper if I was pulling slightly off to one side. I thought if I could find a short (about 32") 20,000 cable that I could shackle to both frame attachment points then stow with the wench hook pulled up near the fairlead that it might solve the problem.
Has anyone else tried this? Who makes a short double ended cable? Does anyone see any problems that might make this a bad idea?
