Lights on after FJ is turned off

I just purchased my wife a 2008 FJ and the lights stay on forever after she turns the FJ off. Does anyone know how to change the settings, the owners manual states there are three different time settings but not how to reprogram them.

Thanks

Re: Lights on after FJ is turned off

The dealership has to use their proprietary scantool to change the programming. You can also hit the lock button (on the key fob) a second time to turn the lights off immediately, if you wish.

I thought it'll turn off after you locked the doors.

Or you could just turn off your lights manually

Re: Lights on after FJ is turned off

I didn't realize that the lights went off automatically until I was working on the the truck in the garage and the lights went out. I thought it was pretty sweet!
