Weird sound from the front tire area

Hey guys, recently I've noticed an annoying hum coming from the front area of my car. Originally I thought it might have been from the engine, but the noise doesn't stop when I left off the accelerator nor do I hear it at a complete stop. The sound starts around 20mph and continues on throughout the drive until I'm at a complete stop. The sound also stops when I turn the steering wheel to enter or exit the highway but starts up again when I straighten out the wheel.

The sound is a milder version of going over the metal grates on bridges.

Is it my alignment? My tires? Some kind of wheel bearing? Suspension?

Re: Weird sound from the front tire area

I suspect a wheel bearing. You might want to raise the wheel off the ground, manhandle the tire, and see if it has any play.

Re: Weird sound from the front tire area

I was also going to say wheel bearing. Either too tight or too loose.

Re: Weird sound from the front tire area

I agree, happened to me, just took it to the dealership and said the bearings were too tight.
