Single click noise ~3 sec after forward movement

Happens every time after first forward movement after startup.

Dealership is telling me this is the anti-lock brake solenoid engaging...and it's normal.

So does it normally happen to you too?

Re: Single click noise ~3 sec after forward movement

Sometimes, yea I think it does happen to me. I attributed it to something in the suspension, but that makes some sense come to think of it...

Re: Single click noise ~3 sec after forward movement

My break system makes a small sound as well when I first start out. I am sure it is just the anti-locks pumping up. Has done it from day one.

Same here. It does indeed sound like it is break-related to me as well.

Re: Single click noise ~3 sec after forward movement

Are you referring to the little relay closing sound? They seem to do that.. There's also the whirring sound after stopping at a traffic light or sign.. Ron

Re: Single click noise ~3 sec after forward movement

I've long stopped worrying about all the different noises this FJ of mine makes.
