I really don't think that is much of an issue. The difference is the MAF Mass Air Sensor
This will keep the air fuel ratio correct. I believe you may be thinking of a non or earlier version fuel injection that probably is not refined enough to keeping it from loading fuel. Since the cats have sensors that help with the air/fuel ratio it will lean out the mix to keep the cats from loading up with fuel when it starts reading rich at the cat sensors. I would think you get little wear from idling all night. Although, engine hours are different than miles recorded. If you are idling your engine a lot , you will have more engine hours than normal, which could lead to lower life. But that's probably minimal . If its hot, other systems may take more of a toll in the engine area, since the air flow is not as good as when you are actually rolling.
