Angry bad rear shock

i found an oil spot on my driveway under the left rear shock. looked under rear end and left shock is covered in thick black gunk, right rear shock is clean.
any advise, or suggestions to replace?

right now everything is STOCK!!

If you didn`t offroad it ( Meaning that the bottom of your truck is not dented to death ) and its still under warrenty I would take it to dealer and see if they will replace it. If they won`t then just buy a new shock they aren`t expencive. Just see if ytou can get it for free first.

This is the ONE and ONLY problem I have ever had with my FJ...

This was early on when I still had the stock shocks (which suck, BTW). It was replaced under warranty no problem. The stockers have long since been replaced.

Outside of this, my FJ has been perfect.
