Re: FJ Summit 2007 T-SHIRT CONTEST!!!!!

Don't you think the t-shirts should have our sponsor’s logos on them also.

Do we have a list of sponsors yet?

Sponsor logos will be on the back. We will edit and add sponsor logos as needed later.

Sponsors are currently being solicited by the organisers so we don't have a list yet. Suffice to say some are big!

BTW the Trail Teams will be there!

Re: FJ Summit 2007 T-SHIRT CONTEST!!!!!

Not to be a party pooper. But if there are a bunch of sponser LOGOs on the shirts they should be paid for by the sponsers. This thing is starting to look like a big money maker for someone. It started out as just a friendly get together by a bunch of FJ owners. I hope it stays that way.

Of course any logos on the shirt will be paid for by sponsors. Most sponsors do so in support of the event and to advertise. Usually there sponsor "money" is in the form of products giveaways which will be raffled back to the participants. Each registrant will get a raffle ticket. We will sell additional tickets to raise money.

So you think this is "looking like a big moneymaker????" I assure you that is BULLSH!T. Moneys raised are being used to offset cost for drivers goodie kits( including the free drivers shirts we are doing here), event planning, advertising, catered dinner, possible guest speakers, rental amenities, event insurance etc. We are expecting more than 200 people to show up. We are committed to providing a well planned, thought out, safe and enjoyable experience for all.

ALL OF THIS is being planned by a grass roots group of VOLUNTEER forum members. Yes they are professionals in their daily lives and their VOLUNTEER efforts are making this a first class event. We have formed a NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION, FJSummit.org, Inc. to accomplish this planning, get a bank account etc . ALL proceeds are going to the event with any residual being donated to charity.

By the way the account currently has ZERO dollars in it.

If you QUESTION anybody's motives here. I suggest you PM me and GET THE FACTS!

I am one of the early members of this forum, but with very few posts as I do a lot of reading. None of what you just posted had been provided for general knowledge of the members of this forum. Maybe if the inner circle kept the little people updated, they wouldn't question what is going on. What you are doing makes sense and yes I appreciate the hard work that many on this board are putting into this gathering. All we hear are that you are working on it and will let us know what is going on later.

I am sorry if I offended anyone and I will keep my fingers still in the future as simple questions seem to upset the inner circle.

Re: FJ Summit 2007 T-SHIRT CONTEST!!!!!

My terse response was regarding a statement not a question:

"This thing is starting to look like a big money maker for someone."

I, in fact, agree with this part:

"It started out as just a friendly get together by a bunch of FJ owners. I hope it stays that way."

Of course this is a little easier said than done.

My response was to inform. Not an attack on you. Sorry if I came off a little sensitive. I've read some pretty incredible rumours ( on other forums) regarding this.

We are doing are best to get the word out. Ask away! And let's stay friends.

Re: FJ Summit 2007 T-SHIRT CONTEST!!!!!

I for one wish to thank those involved for taking the time and putting in the effort for our summit.

Having actually organized an event before I can speak to the amount of work and dedication required to pull something like this off and believe me it isn't easy.

As a suggestion, when someone complains about something, and they will, put a clipboard in their hands and put em to work.

Sounds like good advice. We will be soliciting people to help. Right now if you are an experienced trail leader and are attending, step up! Email me.

I'll get a thread started for this stuff and additional info.

Now back to t-shirts. ...

Less than 2 weeks left. Keep those entries coming. ALL are welcome!
