Argh!

Ok, here is the deal. I totally missed out on the registration and I understand that it is closed....my own fault. I have a room booked at the Best Western and I still plan on heading up to Ouray for the Summit.

I have emailed the contact on the website with a few questions and all I get back a few days later is - "the event is closed at the moment with no additional room".

Here are my questions, hopefully someone can help:

Is there a waiting list?

Will there be walk up registration available? Certainly there will be people that can't or wont show up that have registered.

Does closed mean that all vehicles are already placed into groups for trail runs?

I am bringing my kids, what if any events are open to walk/drive ups?

Are the trails open without a guide?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Argh!

I was able to find out that all the trails are open to use without a guide. If anyone is interested in setting up a trail run during that time I am certainly interested.

not as of right now. Please keep a very sharp eye on this forum and I will add a post if additional spots open up - be sure to register immediately if so

Will there be walk up registration available? Certainly there will be people that can't or wont show up that have registered.

no walk up is planned - we are currently at capacity

Does closed mean that all vehicles are already placed into groups for trail runs?
yes

I am bringing my kids, what if any events are open to walk/drive ups?

everything is pre-registration - the event is closed to people that paid since meals are included, etc. We provide a list of people that are attending to our insurance company - our info needs to be accurate

Are the trails open without a guide?

yes but we cannot have people joining our trail runs - they are strictly limited to a certain amount of vehicles per run

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

sorry to be a downer - I know my answers are harsh and unwelcoming. But - I'm trying to keep the event in line, organized, and as chaos-free as possible....

thanks for your understanding

Re: Argh!

Thanks for the answers. I did not know that meals were included. I will keep a watch out on the site.

Either way, I still plan on heading to Colorado during that time and look forward to seeing all the rigs I read about on the forum.

My friends just bought a house in Teluride so I may be cancelling my room at the Best Western, I wont know for sure until the time gets closer. I will post here before I cancel to give someone on the board a chance at the room.
