Same here. Working on it, slowly getting my lifestyle back in order after slacking a bit for a few years.

Yep. Just look at where all the so-called 'low fat' and 'anti-calorie-counting' diet fads got us here in the Western World.
I know someone who just lost 45 pounds (again, it's all about the intake/output equation) over the last 6 months, and she literally looks like a different person now. I seriously think I'd have trouble picking her out of a crowd if I didn't see it happen right before my own eyes.
That, besides the fact that it will help me live a longer, healthier life has inspired me....not to necessarily lose 45 pounds in the next 6 months, but at least to get back on track in general (if I lose 45 pounds over the next couple years, I'll be doing fairly well - not saying I will or even plan to, but it could happen
