Gauging Interest - Summit Expeditions

All,

A very intelligent mod recently suggested having a Summit Expedition or two during the year.

Since the Summit itself was created 'for the people, by the people' and has grown into what it is now all with lots of input from you, I thought I'd ask what you all think of a small expedition or two under Summit guise limited to 20-30 trucks.

What say you? I think it's an exciting idea....

I think it's a FANTASTIC idea myself. I would be in for something like this. Lead, Follow or take up the rear.

I think its a great idea but depending on the difficulty and time on the expedition 20-30 rigs is to much. I say make it regional and have a leader for each region set one up as a 3 or 4 day trip (Friday to Sunday / Monday)

Have a
North East Summit Expedition

North West Summit Expedition
Mid West Summit Expedition
South East Summit Expedtion

South Central Summit Expedition
South West Summit Expedition
NorCal Summit Expedition
SoCal Summit Expedition
(Maybe combine Norther and Souther California)
Texas Summit Expedition
Canada Summit Expedition (Maybe a couple diffrent ones up north)
International Summit Expedition (no idea how this one would work)

And if we could have them all take place at the same time that would be sweet. Also not sure if we could combine some region and were they would all take place. Places would be the first thing to look at for having an expedition. once we find those we could break the country up into groups a little better so people don't have to drive across country.

those are great ideas - thank you! T2cruiser mentioned the International idea as well - something like a Baja run. We'd have to look into International insurance, etc. Again this is all very preliminary....

Great idea , I'm not driving 2000+miles, but I'd drive 500 for something closer
