I was reading about the breed on the AKC site. It also stated that they "bond" to their people, may be protective. I wish more people showed the responsibility that you do!
Thanks and her breed is pretty amazing. They are an "ancient" breed where the females going into "heat" only once, in the winter like their more "primitive" relatives like wolves. Their heritage is very deep and the breeders are very protective of keeping the blood lines "pure".

Re: Need help from Summiteers bringing dogs...

I did not read all the posts, but if you do not have a volunteer, I will take her. I am camping at the KOA. Will have a 5th wheel where she can run around with Tillie, my long haired minature dachshund.

We bred and showed Great Danes, so she will be no problem I am sure.

Just let me know buddy.

That's one of the funniest looking dogs I've ever seen. Tell you what, Sandy and I will keep it for you! Ron

PS: But you'll need to bring it to East Tennessee.. Just read the rest of the thread, but if the other 50 or so offers fall through we'll be here for her

Re: Need help from Summiteers bringing dogs...

We are in town, in "stealth mode", hoping we don't get discovered at our accommodations. Just hope the care takers don't monitor this thread.

We are heading over to see if we can offer any assistance during registration in a few minutes...

Re: Need help from Summiteers bringing dogs...

Ron,

We are at the KOA in space 95, if for any reason you need a place let me know. I have room no problem.

We need to get together this time anyway. No riding, I had a heart attack about 6 weeks ago so the bike is just hanging around now, doing a little but not ready for this altitude. Next week in Utah.

Call me so we can get a bite to eat or something.

Bob
