Well Mike I think I would just drive as far as I could and play in the snow for a while. I hear that it is plowed now from Silverton to Animas Forks. Hope to be camping there in a month. I'll give it a good look.

One year I was up on Imogene the first week of July. It wasn't open to the top. We'll hope for the best.

Talked with Jeff today. Got the green light for going to a 350 base for more training. Then maybe work a BO105 in Florida for a few days. It's now been 9 1/2 years since I left AZ. How time flies

Here's Plan B:

Assure KSheffield that Black Bear Pass IS indeed open. Drive him to the top of Imogene, have him stand against the elevation sign telling him it's a Kodak moment, then when he's admiring the view of Telluride, hop in the truck and drive back down Imogene to Ouray.
