what would be a reasonable time to do this? Next Spring? Will too many people lose interest and/or forget about it by then?
Spring would be the earliest and most likely during schoolbreak. Lots of us have kids which leaves us very little flexibility...and we would need to compromise on location....It would also have to be arranged with more organized approach. Perhpas you could start with a poll asking their preferred time frame and a second one for location. Forum vendors should be invited to participate and give something away..Give people some incentive to drive long distance to meet....

yeah that's a great idea. Actually if all of the vendors on this forum could come to the event and set up booths, that would be fantastic...

By next year, I am sure there will be more members, more vendors etc....Wouldnt this be a job of the Mods or whoever owns this forum to organize? Shall we all go to Sturgis and meet the Harley folks at the same time ???

Re: When's the Forum Party

This sounds like the start of an actual FJ Cruiser club with an annual rally/jamboree!!! I'm game, would love to join a number of you as "Charter Members" and assist in getting this moving to an organized level!

Spring works best for me also, Fall is busy and don't want to interrupt hunting seasons!

I've seen Land Cruiser Clubs, and gather the new FJ's are welcome there, but is there an FJ Cruiser Club that has formally begun yet? Or could we say that this place is one, or one in the making??? FJer's unite! lol

Re: When's the Forum Party

I have registered FJcruiseroffroad.org and was thinking of forming a sub chapter under the TLCA ?

Spring would work well for me. I would definitely attend this event.

yeah I actually talked about starting one a few months ago.

The problem is that

a) we sort of have a 'club' here
b) I wouldn't want to take away members from this site or JayC's base of people.

with that said though, it'd be cool to have an official club and have a FJ club number, etc.

Maybe I'll see what I can put together and do it tactfully....

Re: When's the Forum Party

I for one think that there should be two events.... (west coast and east coast). I would think that the people in Al. Ga. Fl. and so on, would have a hard time making A 1000+ mile drive just to hang out..... A 500 mile drive I could see, but much more than that and you would be tired of being in the car by the time you got to the event.

ps. I think it is a great idea and will try to make it no matter where it is!
