That's a disgusting image. By then, my bodyguards will be Smith & Wesson...or Winchester... maybe Remington...

I for one think that there should be two events.... (west coast and east coast). I would think that the people in Al. Ga. Fl. and so on, would have a hard time making A 1000+ mile drive just to hang out..... A 500 mile drive I could see, but much more than that and you would be tired of being in the car by the time you got to the event.

ps. I think it is a great idea and will try to make it no matter where it is!

Two events means double the planning and neither one being as big as one event even if it's too far for a few to make. I'm in Missouri so it's a haul for either location east or west. But hey here's an idea, there's a number of this type event held in SW Missouri or NW Arkansas, some great town locations that are near parks and scenic areas too. Ever hear of Branson? It's a thought, and it'd be a centralized location. Yet it would miss the mountains and well known off road locations.

I could assist with some information on this area if it leans toward a central location. Let me know.

MOAB first weekend of Oct.
Agreed, so many of us will be there. We should mob the Poplar Place patio with FJers. Beer, Pizza, Mexican food, good times.

QUOTE=CO-Jeff]I have registered FJcruiseroffroad.org and was thinking of forming a sub chapter under the TLCA ?[/quote]

There's a site for it, now looks like Bostonian has the plan to be the Club Founder or one of the Founders!

yeah I actually talked about starting one a few months ago.

The problem is that

a) we sort of have a 'club' here
b) I wouldn't want to take away members from this site or JayC's base of people.

with that said though, it'd be cool to have an official club and have a FJ club number, etc.

Maybe I'll see what I can put together and do it tactfully....

I agree that it shouldn't draw away from this forum or any others, should actually promote them. This seems to be the largest, at least it's #1 in my list of favs, so why not build from it, the official club forum is already alive and strong then!

I just love setting back and making suggestions that get people thinking and watch them get busy making it work! (I will occassionally do some work too, so let me know how or where I can assist if so, if not then I'll be a happy member!

Re: When's the Forum Party

Moab is about 2,000 miles round-trip for me. CO will be even more. I've drive roundtrip to Missouri. If someone said, national gathering of FJC's in Tennessee, I'd be there. Even if I fly in and ride with someone else.
I suggested alternating coasts because that's what we do for one of my organizations every year. Keeps down on the airfare b!tching by trying to make it "fair".

Since you have the contacts to supporting vendor and host this forum, I feel its a matter of courtesy to run it by you first and that you (or whover from your side) should be involved in one way or the other. After all without you guys we would have not been able to gather so many FJ freaks in one place....I think you should start charging membership. Bostonian should pay more since he bombarded us with 2800+ post and I get nothing else done during the day.....

I could set something up if you guys were really serious about it.

Keeping the discussion board off of any site I created would keep people here, so as not to detract or step on anyones' toes...

could do some sort of club that includes a small magazine, a sticker, etc all for an annual membership fee....

Re: When's the Forum Party

With a little help from Uncle Toyota - they could emulate Jeep (Camp Jeep)

Company reps, vendors, ALL era Fj's - Hold them at logical places across the country based on FJ concentration.

I live in the Pocono Mountains oe N/E Pa. Camp Jeep was here last year - it was a blast!
