Mine is going to be in the Total Chaos catalog, but have other stuff in mind, might as well turn your hobby into a profit center instead of a money pit.

Re: When's the Forum Party

Looks like we have a gathering of great minds that could be the founding father's of this club!!! (No offense meant in gender there, just saying "founding mother's" would bring other images to mind for some here that we don't need to address! OOPS I just opened the door there didn't I.)

Sound great and you can count me in for sure! Love Rubi's idea, Jeep has held one of those in this area, between Branson and Springfield MO, it seemed to be a big success.

Should get some vendors as Charter Sponsors to aid in the formation of this and set it off with a big bang somehow.

Should we have a chat sometime about this issue with those interested in assiting the formation? BTW, who's in charge on this? Should we take a vote?

Since you have the contacts to supporting vendor and host this forum, I feel its a matter of courtesy to run it by you first and that you (or whover from your side) should be involved in one way or the other. After all without you guys we would have not been able to gather so many FJ freaks in one place....I think you should start charging membership. Bostonian should pay more since he bombarded us with 2800+ post and I get nothing else done during the day.....
I'll email the people that are "Large and in-charge".

Re: When's the Forum Party

I dont think the intent was for a fleamarket FJ and off-road marketing salesfest- if I am wrong than somebody can try to kick my ass, but I think a party was the suggestion- and sounds like a helluva good idea to me, but leave the salesmen and advertising out of it.

Willing to donate time and energy too. I'll do anything I can to help from Utah. Our TTORA chapter is in tatters and seems useless.

It all depends how big this event should or would be or how official it should be......I dont mind someone sponsoring the event and with big group of people can get expensive. You can not expect 100 FJ showing up in one place without someone organizing it properly....It will just turn into a goat rope operation.. I dont mind some supporting vendors showing off what they have to offer. I dont have to buy if I dont want to. Lets face it, the idea of just to drive 1000+ (probably X2 ~ $350 gas money) miles to be camping and getting drunk with people I have only me on the internet would not entice me at all. I dont know about the others. I like my FJ but I am not that crazy about it.

If I want to just camp out without learning anything else I might as well do it in my back yard. Perhaps there should be some incentive from forum vendors, toyota or whoever to make it worthwhile the trip. They dont have to sell anything, maybe donation for raffle, wet T-shirt contest (missFJ are you in?).......

and why can we not invite the vendors to join? most of our supporting vendor is a member to me whether they have an FJ or not...without them i would have been screwed by my dealer until I bleed from you know where....
