Re: New Mexico FJ'ers

Tomas, no problem. Sounds like you have a cool job. I got to spend most of my day staring at AutoCAD. It pays the bills but isn't very satisfying.

Good Evening NM FJers,
We had talked of a run next weekend but I just got out of a meeting and found out I will be working. Maybe after the 21st after Paul gets back.
Gotta share,
While I wont be running my FJ next weekend I am going to do something cool. A movie called Brothers is shooting at Garson Studios where I work and is going to film a scene with a full-size Blackhawk helicopter in our Stage B. Its built on a huge gimble so it can dive, rotate and climb. The chopper catches fire and Toby Mcquire falls out. Sometimes I really love my job.
That's totally cool. Montana can't believe you get to see Spiderman!

Re: New Mexico FJ'ers

Howdy all!

I'll be driving to Albuquerque from Phoenix next weekend for the holiday and was wondering if anyone can recommend a trail near town? I don't have recovery equipment, so the trial would need to be easy/moderate. So far, I've found Paliza Canyon Trail and Rio Puerco.

If anyone else will be going off-roading too maybe I can tag along.

Thanks!
Carrie

Re: New Mexico FJ'ers

Hi Carrie,
It looks like we have a tentative get together planned on that weekend near Santa Fe, which is about an hour north of Albuquerque. It should mostly be a scenic drive but if your interested, please come along.

I would also be interested in another run to the Rio Puerco or elsewhere that weekend. Anyone else?

Lawrence

Re: New Mexico FJ'ers

I think we are going to go for a cruz on Sunday AM, here in las cruces. It will be either in the Robledos or Dona Ana mountains. Let me know if any one wants to join. We usually have 7-12 vehicles show.

It'd probably be better if I stick closer to Albuquerque but if anyone does do Rio Puerco on either Sunday or Monday, please do let me know.
