New to 4 wheelin

Thnx for responses yesterday. I guess bottom line question is: If I get a 4x4/AT '07 FJ, with std limited slip and traction control, do I really need the locking differential and ATRAC that appear to have been added as options on these models. THANKS!

Re: New to 4 wheelin

Depends on what you want to do. The e-locker is a great option if you plan on going wheeling. The A-Trac is a good system too.

I got the locker and A-Trac on mine and certainly don't regret it.

Re: New to 4 wheelin

THANKS. Although new to 4 wheelin, other than dirt roads in the wife's Pilot, I plan to get into the thick of it, a little bit at a time (rock crawling, etc.). So I guess the more tools in the toolbox, the better!

Then both A-Trac and E-Lock is a mandatory!

Re: New to 4 wheelin

A-trac and e-Locker are good options and will become more important as you progress to more difficult trails. The important thing is still to pick out good lines and take it slow. Remember you can still get stuck even with the best of gear so be careful and have fun

here is some 4x4 and vehicle recover info that may help.
