Tire question

I am wanting to replace my stock crappy tires on my 07 FJ. I am thinking of the
Yokohama Geolandar,Goodyear Wrangler MT/R, of the BFGoodrich MT T/A KM2 my qusetion is what is the largest tire i can throw on there, I plan to get a pro comp 3inch lift in the near future. Can i go hire then a 285 width? Any help would be great

Re: Tire question

good question and it has been asked a bunch. Take a look under the tire and wheel section and give it a search. You will find truck loads of threads on this and a few on the specific tire choices you are thinking of.

you have a good selection of top tires. you may want to add Toyo Open Country MT to the list as well. Good luck.

You could go to a 295 but it's hit or miss whether or not you'll rub the body mount. Some people rub and some don't. My next go around i'll be going to a 255/75/17 simply to reduce rolling resistance. My fuel economy is bad enough and larger tires do not help.
