I'm a warranty noob

I've read about pricing so I'm good on that, but I've never bought a new car before so here's my stupid question:

Does Toyota reimburse any dealer for warranty work or is it specific to the dealer who sold you the warranty? In other words does it matter where you buy the warranty from, geographically.

No...It does not matter. As long as it is a Toyota warranty any Toyo dealer will do the warranty work.

Thumbs up Re: I'm a warranty noob

First, it depends on the warranty.

If it is the factory warranty, then yes. You may take your vehicle to any Toyota dealership. Just let them know you have the extended warranty. It definitely helps if you have the extended warranty policy number on hand.

If it is an aftermarket warranty (some dealers offer this also), then it depends on that company. Some will reimburse the repair shop/dealer, while others will only allow you to take it to the dealership that you purchased the extended warranty from.

Actually... that's basically it. Not really sure why I wrote "First,"
