To buy or not to buy and Where?

I'm looking at buying an FJ for my wife and I. We live on an island in the San Juans (Seattle area). Unimproved roads, some winter snow, 1/2 mile long dirt driveway and lots of mud in the winter. Also the family does a lot of camping (pop up tent trailer) and mountain biking, motorcycling etc. I am really intrigued by the FJ and have read about the pros and cons on this site. I'm looking for a little encouragement to pull the trigger but would also like to know:
Can I just walk onto a lot and drive off with one or does it need to be special ordered? (I would want roof rack , opt. pkg 2, couple of others).
Any GOOD experiences at dealerships in the Seattle, Bellingham, Tacoma areas?
Can I get a good deal ordering over the net?
Appreciate anyones input.
Best regards,
Leelee

Re: To buy or not to buy and Where?

I walked into a dealership I didn't even know, found it on the Internet, checked his inventory. Told him I was taking the FJ he special ordered for himself, he had one. I got a little resistance, but after asking him why he was in business, he gladly relinquished the FJ and the next day I was driving it. Get one.
Can't believe someone didn't answer your post sooner. Sorry about that.

I got my FJ at Magic Toyota in Edmonds. They were good to me, I was in and out of there quickly!!! I have also heard good things about Puyallup Toyota.

Kirkland Toyota has a good service department. Burien Toyota has a good parts department. But for parts, the sponsors on this board are better and will give discounts.

Hello chewey46 it appears that you have not posted on our forums in several weeks, why not take a few moments to ask a question, help provide a solution or just engage in a conversation with another member in any one of our forums?
