Hosing out FJ? Newbie question

Hey all,

I'm read several members 'hose' out there FJ to get rid of gunk/mud etc. So based on your experience:

1)Are the seats washable? 2)When you hose out the FJ, how did you project the central console area (radio, other electronic stuff).

Thanks!

I don't think hitting the inside of an FJ Cruiser with a water hose is a good idea just for the reasons you stated about (1) central console radio and dials, (2) electrical connections under the seats, and (3) electonics behind the lower dash area that will be exposed to water from hosing the floor and pedals. What you can do is use a wet sponge as a mop to clean mud and dirt from the floor and plastic panels, and to wet wipe the seats as they are water resistant.

Re: Hosing out FJ? Newbie question

It says in the owners manual NOT to hose out the inside. As KLD said. It does say to use a wet cloth or sponge.
