Re: warn bumper

I ordered one about 3 weeks ago, hasn't showed up yet though. I bought a nearly brand new warn XD9000i off craigs list. If you're not planning on lifting it you may want to at least put a leveling kit on the front. The bumper is about 150 lbs + about 65 lbs with winch and fairlead. I have a 3" lift on mine so not sure how much it will drop the front. good luck!

Re: warn bumper

This might be more of what you're looking for if weight is an issue. A plastic and styrafoam bumper is an issue for me for sure so I'll deal with the extra load. There is also a front receiver that bolts on to the front of the frame that you can mount a portable winch on. Those are sweet, you can put them in the back or front receiver depending on how you need to use it. When I mount it I'll post some pics etc.

Re: warn bumper

thanks but im going with a metal bumper that i can put the winch behind but that is a good idea you could move the winch from the front to the back depending on where you got stuck i get my cruiser tomarow and cant wait im going to be parting with both the front and rear bumper and the black factory wheels and maybe tires? boy what a project my neiber is going to love this!!!!!

Re: warn bumper

There's a thread for the Warn bumper already. There are pics of mine with a 9.5ti and one other I believe. I've got a DR coilover front suspension to couter the extra weight.

Re: warn bumper

Put it on last week, kinda of a b###h cause the front 8 mounting bolts didn't line up and getting to all of the fasteners took some contortionist moves. The weight didn't really change too much handling but you definately know it's there. The extra weight also dropped the front about an inch so but it still has good wheel (295's) clearance. Good luck!

I have a 3" spacer lift front and 2" rear on mine. Before adding a winch and bumper it sat level with no rubbing (295-70-R17). After, the front dropped about 2". I can't stand it sloped in the front! Do you guys have coil overs? Are you able to keep your rigs level with the extra weight? Couldn't tell from the pics...Thanks, kb

Re: warn bumper

And for those who may be wondering, I yakked with Warn yesterday about their rear one.
It should be out in January.
Central 4WD lists it already, but Warn assured me it has not been released yet.

I am getting the rear one.
