FJ Horn a little whimpy...?

I tried my horn for the first time today. A ding-a-ling (don't want to spell out what I really thought of this guy) popped out and almost hit me so I decided to give him a nice LOUD honk. To my dismay the FJ just let out a small beep like an anemic putt-putt. My Beetle had a louder honk then that! Any way I can make it sound louder?

Re: FJ Horn a little whimpy...?

Here's a link describing the OEM cure. I did it and it sounds much, much better.

Re: FJ Horn a little whimpy...?

My horn seems pretty loud as it came from the dealer. My rig is a pretty late build. I wonder if they changed horns mid-year.
