A couple of questions

1) Is Limited Slip Differential (LSD) ONLY available with 2 wheel drive?
2) Is full time 4 wheel drive ONLY available with manual transmission?
3) Is automatic transmission ONLY available with part time 4 wheel drive?

Thanks in advance. Just picked up my FJ Cruiser yesterday and I am trying to understand what I got!

Re: A couple of questions

This will clear it up. Or confuse you more. Either way.

Making sense of LSD, ATRAC, TRAC etc

But to anser your specific questions.

1) EDIT: YES (previously I was thinking of VSC)
2) Yes
3) Yes

Welcome to the Boards.

Re: A couple of questions

i was under the impression that the rear dif was always open, directing power to whatever wheel has less traction, and the lsd just slowed that wheel down. correct me if i am wrong. i havent abused the FJ enough yet to even get somw wheel spin out of it so i am not sure what it really does.
