Question Should I get a booklet zip-pouch?

Just picked up my blue FJ last week and noticed that there was no case or zip-pouch thingy to put the owners and warranty booklets into. I can't imagine Toyota not having one of these. Should I have gotten one? Wife and I are headed to the dealer Saturday to get the door sill enhancments, and hopefully something to put the booklets into.

Yes, you should have received one.
Sounds like they are hoarding it.

I would go back and ask where it is.

You should have got one - I got a nice black zip-up book for the warranty materials, etc.

Re: Should I get a booklet zip-pouch?

You would have only received it if the dealership ordered the FJ with it....it costs $6 and is called a "Preferred Owners Portfolio".

BTW, my dealership is one that does not order vehicles with the $6 pleather book case.

Re: Should I get a booklet zip-pouch?

I bought off the lot. No mention of a $6 charge on any sheets I have. Looks like I will be "negotiating" for a portfolio. Thanks for the quick response.

They should have something. You don't know unless you ask and welcome to the forum.

Re: Should I get a booklet zip-pouch?

Dealer does not have any portfolios. Since it seems that some of you have gotten different portofolios it is a dealer item as RoverGGM indicates. Anyways, I did get my door sill enhancements and installed them today. They look really good and should hold up to some abuse as they are made from stainless steel.

Re: Should I get a booklet zip-pouch?

I have purchased 2 new cars in my life and gotten the fancy zippered book thing with both (a Nissan and the FJ). I also had it from the previous owner in my last 2 used cars before that.

I didn't realize that cars didn't automatically come with these nowadays. Interesting.
