When lifting up on the leading edge of your FJ's hood does it feel a little loose? Like the entire hood is not all one piece. Mine has felt that way since I got it but now it feels even more loose after taking it into the dealer for servicing today. Is there a way to tighten that front edge of the hood?

WTF? Ummm ... like the hinges are loose? I don't get it. Seems solid to me.

The hood itself is tight to the hinges, that part feels solid.
I'm talking about when I open the hood and lift up on the leading edge of the hood, it feels like the very front of the hood is loose, like it's a seperate piece bolted on to the main part of the hood.
I''m going to go check it now.

OKay, the very front of the hood is a seperate part that is bolted to the rest of the hood. Not sure if the front piece is plastic, the main part is metal. It is outlined by the thin black gasket. Mine is not loose as I thought, but it creaks/squeaks as I open the hood giving me the impression it was loose. When you open the hood, you can see some of the bolts along the front edge.

Yes it is two piece front piece is fiberglass it has bolts on the bottom it also has couple clips you could see them if you look through the openings on the middle and sides I removed the whole thing, when I first picked up my FJ they over buffed it the edge,I didn't want to see my FJ in the paint shop so I took it off and they painted the whole thing then I put it back, but the clips are sacrificial so I ask for a new ones, install them no problem. So I think may be one of those clips might of come off. Mind you it is better to hold the hood to close from the the metal portion.
