Interesting.. I too feel that the steering is a-bit imprecise and I have the BFG RT's. My experience with the BFG AT's on Jeeps suggests they add to the problem as well. They're great tires, but the vehicle seems to float (wander) on the highway. Ron

Very happy with my purchase.
Visibility is a bit of an issue, but it's probably rooted more in paranoia re: dinging my new truck
Steering is a little imprecise, but I have the BFG AT's, and I have to remember this is a truck, and not a small one at that
A handbrake warning sound (as opposed to just the light), when engaged, and in gear would be helpful for an idiot like me
Locking fuel door should be standard
The list of accolades is too long. Like I say, I'm extremely happy with the vehicle

People saying," You own one of those little hearse looking Chrysler things???", when I tell them I have an FJ Cruiser. Man, what I wouldn't give to go back in time to the naming committee meeting that caused THIS confusion...

I wanted a FJ back in the 70's but Uncle Sam had other plans. I bought my in april 2007, and put over 21k on it so far. I don't have any problems with visability, ride or even the gas milage. I use Mobil One, replaced the stocl air filter with a K&N filter keep the speed down around 60 and even 55 mph and I am getting around 22 mpg. I just love the vehicle. It is enjoyable to drive.

Yes, I'm nit-picking, it's really minor, probably more related to weight and suspension, and it tracks straight as a die at high speed on even pavement. My previous vehicle was a Wrangler, notoriously imprecise streering-wise, and it was, regardless of tire
I have the TT SE, automatic. Just love it, and I like the BFG AT's (although they pick up pebbles like glue). Should have had those on my Jeep, as they are almost as capable on the trail. But I liked the look of the MT, and then again, what I should do, and what I want are usually two different things
I don't like the fact that my trans has already been replaced and it started doing the same thing again, 2 weeks later. So it look like that it going to be in the shop for 3 more weeks

The issue I have with visibility is not in the rear, but in the front pillars, particularly when making a right hand turn at an intersection. There is a big blindspot there, big enough to hide a pedestrian. But, hey, humans are nice and soft
