approximately 1 month after receiving my FJ, the dealership Service Dept called and said it was time for its 1st service??
I only had 500 miles on it, . right now its 10 weeks old and only 1400 miles, any ideas as to what they could possibly want to service? or is this a money grab?
Sounds like a money grab to me, but I had my oil changed at 1400 miles anyway because I plan on keeping it a long time and wanted to make sure that the break-in metal filings were removed.

1 month....?
The manual says 5,000 miles and my dealer said 3,500 miles but they would perform the 5K service for free.

I changed the oil at 1,400 miles. After searching the forum as to when to change the oil and when not to..........I decided to do it anyway. I just turned over 5,000 miles, and as anticipated, the maint. light came on. Time to change the oil again!
