Maxi?

So I finally got a chance to get my FJ over to a buddy's place to show it off. His wife said that it looked like a big mini cooper.

Rich, ever the clever one, dubbed it the maxi. Now I should mention that this guy has a wife and 3 daughters all of age. So, I can almost forgive him...

So I let him drive it up to the local bar. It was raining so of couse he called the 3 wipers "cute".

When we reached open road I told him to punch it.

I didn't hear any more comments about maxis or cuteness after that...

Screwum, I own an FJ.

Re: Maxi?

And who is this guy marketing to?

eBay Motors: TOYOTA FJ CRUISER HALF A HUMMER DECAL (item 280096499513 end time Mar-28-07 05:12:44 PDT)

If I wanted a Hummer I would have bought one. But, silly me, I wanted something that would last beyond 100,000 miles...

Re: Maxi?

Actually there was a maxi cooper in england for a while. Car, not a person. I made the really bad joke about the seat cushions being the maxi pad....

Re: Maxi?

The FJ on the street is sometimes a source of curiosity. The FJ off-road is another matter and I have yet to see anyone do anything but admire the machine.

Re: Maxi?

When i hear the word maxi, the only thing that comes to mind is kotex (and they have 3 girls hmmmm)!!! I think you ought not to call it that.
