Noob Tire Size Question

If I get a lift and go up to 33's or 35's will I have to recalibrate my speedo? Do I go to the dealer, or buy a kit?

Re: Noob Tire Size Question

Generally, 33's will still be very accurate. It has been argued that the speedometer is actually more accurate with 285s than it is with the factory 265s.

Re: Noob Tire Size Question

To recalibrate the speedometer it is usually best to buy a kit since I don't even think the dealer offers a service like that. 33's won't set you off too much since they are close to stock size, but then again, my friend tells me that most speedometers on any vehicle are usually off by anywhere from 3-10% (depending on the speed). I found a kit for you that should work real well. SuperLift TruSpeed Speedometer Recalibrator . Good luck, I hope that this helps.

I think mine is also, but I have not scientifically verified it.
