Wheres the 7th and 8th speaker

Hi guys, I just got my new FJ Cruiser. It has the 6 CD player and its suppose to come with 8 speakers but I only see six. 2 small speakers on the dash, 2 big speakers on the front doors and 2 small speakers all the way on the rear corner. Help me figure this out. Wheres the extra 2 speakers if it says 8 speakers. Thanks for your help.

Turn the fader to the rear and tilt your head, you can hear sound coming from the area between you and the dome lamp.

It is a joke to even call them speakers.

Thanks for the info gang, finally I understand. Those roof headliner NXTs speakers. Here's an info i copied from the NXT website.

[I]The NXT-based roof liner loudspeaker system works in tandem with the FJ Cruiser’s conventional speakers to create a truly impressive audio performance that fills the cabin with rich, clear sound.

Yeah, the NXT ceiling transducer speaker is an intersting concept. It's the only part of the stock speaker system remaining in my FJ. Your quote from the companies website is interesting. I was able to isolate the speaker from the rest when setting up my new system. I don't know about the "rich, clear sound" part. All I could tell is that it added ambient sound and not much more then that. Like most of the stereo gear in the stock FJ, it's adequate but not as cutting edge as the Toyota brochures make them out to be.

I'd still have given up the NXT's if I could have had a factory moon roof option.
