Re: Tire changing tip for new owners

I have the BBS Wheels on mine and I put a big scratch inside the lug hole when I took off the wheel. I think it slipped or something.

Anyways some electrical tape around the outside wrench socket area probably would have prevented this!

Exactly. Many reputable tire shops do this to the impact wrenches they use to protect against similar damage from happening to customers wheels. Let's face it, slippage happens!

Re: Tire changing tip for new owners

When my FJ was one week old I was on the way to a meeting and ran over a big chunk of metal and blew a tire. I changed it in a hurry and just threw everything in the back to sort out later. I am a bit anal and can not figure out how to get the jack tools back the way they were from the factory, so they don't rattle. Can someone who has not used their jack un roll the tool pouch, take a picture and post it here?

Thanks,
