Re: Is this FJ Too Much For A Newbie??

I would go for it. That FJ is also low miles I believe. When ORBA still had it they never really drove it any were but to show it off for the raffle. So for the first year all the miles were going to events and shops to get mods and probably little to no off roading.

Do it. And hook up with FJ Funjunkie. You find the trails (he's new to SD) and he will show you how to wheel.

Wonder why they didn't wrap under the blinkers. That thing is awesome looking. I'd snatch it up if I already didn't have one. K

I was wondering that myself.

I never would have guessed it started life silver until you look under the blinker. Still a nice job on the wrap.

I never saw it in real life, only in photos, but I thought it was airbrushed.

Re: Is this FJ Too Much For A Newbie??

There are always more mods for you to enjoy putting on the FJ.http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/forum...-build-up.html

If I was in the market for an FJ today and that buy was available, I'd take it. You're going to learn off-road driving as you go, but that would be a great start.

My advice: BUY IT![/quote]

Wow, nice rig you got! I love what you did with it, very very tasteful. I will have to digest your mods over time, and then spring for the ones that make sense. Thanks a lot for the info, I appreciate it.

I am going to see and test drive the modded 07 FJ tomorrow. I'm all nervous as heck, like I am little boy going on his first date.. ..don't know why, just am..he he.

Re: Is this FJ Too Much For A Newbie??

I am overwhelmed with everyone's response. You guys are awesome indeed. I will be honored to join the ranks hopefully soon with my colorful FJ. Will post my impressions tomorrow as to whether this FJ is in good shape or not (hard to believe it will not be).

Cheers to all of you Forum Masters, and Veterans, and Potentates and such....
