Re: FJ Cruiser = Money Pit = Divorce = Addiction

DONT BUY THE TIRE COVER!!!!!
Why would you want to hide a perfectly good wheel?
My wife says I'm addicted to this forum, we had a big fight over it!!
My response to her is It's all educational, kinda like an FJ university.
I can learn from everyone elses mistakes, so far my excuse is working.

Good luck.
PS: My name is Carl and I'm a Forum/mod addict.

Re: FJ Cruiser = Money Pit = Divorce = Addiction

You got in a fight with your wife over the forum? Mine thinks I'm logged in to my work email. You should learn ALT+TAB to switch back and forth quickly.

We did get into a small scuttle about how embarrassingly loud she thinks my engine and sound system is now.

If this is FJ University, when does rush start?

Re: FJ Cruiser = Money Pit = Divorce = Addiction

My addition must have just started. My wife used to complain was addicted to the other sites I was always on when she walked up and I couldn't switch screens fast enough. I've mostly replaced that addiction with the FJ/Forum/Mod addiction but I still revert back to the old one (sometimes on a daily basis). Now it's I wish you would spend as much time with your kids and talking about them than you do with the FJ and on the computer ...

What am I saying. I don't have any addictions. Its my wife that doesn't understand me. I just need to find someone who understands MY needs ... someone who ...

Re: FJ Cruiser = Money Pit = Divorce = Addiction

I think you guys are missing the key way to handle modding. (i say guys because you ladies out there should have no problem getting your husband to spend money on your badass rig) What you gentlemen need to do is get your lady/family involved in your addiction and bring them down with you! My wife goes with me on all our trail rides/excursions. I have to admit, I could never be a passenger with the stuff we do, but she is a champ and takes lots of pictures and video as we do it. (Trail stuff guys, stay focused) The best is when we had the truck so deep that we ruined the transmission on a 6 mo old truck (unintentionally), that she was not nearly as pissed as one might think. In fact, afterwards she insisted that i add more things to the truck in order to avoid getting stuck in that scenario again. It works out perfect. I take her with, break something or find a scenario where we would benefit from a mod, and she insists i do it in order to look out for the well being of my family. As my son gets older and out of an infant car seat, he will be joining us. So i get my mods, she feels safer, and the whole family benefits from a vehicle that will eventually be able to handle the apocolypse! Family fun for all involved! Seriously though, I do plan to use this vehicle to do some nice family trips and camping stuff. I have barely seen much of this great country and dont want my kids to miss out on it. If making my truck tough enough to handle any trail/road/stream/etc. by modding it is going to make that happen, then modding cant possibly be bad.

just my .02

Screw the tire cover!!

And if you feel the need to do another mod, you should go offroad... offroading is a great way to distract you from the mod frenzy.

BINGO. I am the female/other half of our addiction.

I just introduced myself in the newbie page yesterday and told how I WAS THE ONE RANTING AND RAVING over the FJ from day one.....that we had a spat over test driving one, I had to fight him.... i had to beg him .....and he only went kicking and screaming.

NOW he is so addicted.....I call this forum his "FJ Porn"

I SWEAR.....I am going to make and sell T Shirts around the concept of "FJ Porn" and "FJ Addict" to you addicts.

Always looking for a way to squirrel away more dinero for more MODS you know !!!!

Cautionary note for all: Do not do a google image search for "fj porn". This does not go well. Especially if you have safe search turned off.

Okay....since you said NOT to do it, what does it pull up?

I don't know what "safe search" is by the way.....is this something a "real" porn expert knows?

LOL

I did however buy www.fjporn.com
