skid plates

newbiew here, i was just wondering if i should buy the toyota front skid plate for my fj or spend the money on the trd exhaust . i have noticed that the toyota skid plate is rather expensive any other quality skid plate options out there that would fit a stock fj. any info would be greatly appreciated

Forget the worthless Toyota skid. Read the posting on complete skid plate comparison. I went with AllProOffroad.

Part of my decision for AllPros was less weight, and very important: Shipping costs. I'm in Oregon, AllPro is in California, and BudBuilt is east coast. I think shipping was $100 more, at least.

Just got back from hauling my truck over rocks. The MAF/4+ skids are equal to anything on the market, if not better.

The plates are listed as "not in stock", but give Steve a call at 805 578 8712

You can't really go wrong with any of the aftermarket skids. They all have their advantages. Frankly, it's really hard to see someone exceed the design limit of these skids. If you actually bust any of them up to the point where you can't use them anymore, you're probably not in the right vehicle or need to rethink the lines.
