Unhappy Lost the center cap wheel ornament

My FJ is only 6 mo and 3500 mi, noticed one of the center cap ornaments on a wheel is missing. Haven't been off road or in storms. Any one else have wheel problems?

Re: Lost the center cap wheel ornament

I have found that the thin metal retaining ring is impossible to use when putting the center cap back on the wheel. In the course of rotating the tires the rings got tossed into the back. I have lost only one cap to date.

Go to your nearest dealers lot, make it look like you're shopping and just pop one off when no one is looking.
They always rob you when you go there.

Smile Re: Lost the center cap wheel ornament

Thanks to all the replies. I bought it far away and couldn't make it back there. I called a Toyota dealer down the street and even had an apt for 6 mo service and they said no and the service mgr wouldn't even return my calls. Blew off that apt like they blew off me and went to another dealer. Place was awesome and gave it to me out of goodwill. Not all dealers created equal

Re: Lost the center cap wheel ornament

I just changed 4 caps and they are a pain to get off (unless I'm stupid, which is a definite possibility). I pulled the metal retaining ring and was them able to pop them out from behind. They're a very tight fit.
