You just made your first mistake... you joined this maddness!

Just kidding! What are your plans and budget? That will determine a lot about your path to FJ modification.

Just some "simple mods"??? Yeah, right. Keep a firm grip on your wallet! Your "simple mods" turn from lift kit to front and rear bumpers, winch, CB with Bandi mount, Hi-Lift, Roof rack mods, front and rear lights, interior mods.......

And the next thing you know.......your simple mods have effectively doubled the cost of your FJ....... LOL

Don't think you can refrain.....just jump in with both feet!

Welcome to the forum
Your choice of color is brilliant.
I would say lift, skids, and tires are the first things you should do. If you have a factory skid plate, unbolt it and sell it on ebay or even here. Then look at all the skid plate options and put the money toward it. I happen to have budbuilts and they give you great protection. Check them all out and make you own mind up.
Do you have factory slders? If so you can keep those till you bash them up . I have had mine for over 37000 miles and many difficult trails and they still work well
that should get you started
thanks
Don
