Base FJ

I have purchased an 08 FJ base. I went with the base because I thought when I upgrade off-road modifications I would go with aftermarket lockers of some sort. Have I thought this the right way?

Re: Base FJ

Through my research in looking for a base model - I've discovered a rear locker is standard on the 6-sp MT (my preference) but not on AT models....

Re: Base FJ

FWIW I was able to build and price a base 4x4 mt6 on Toyota.com that didn't include a locker. According to the site, the locker was part of Option B or C.

Congrats and Welcome Aboard!

If adding Lockers and all sorts of other off-road Mods is your Plan then i would say you have started out with the right Platform!
